Who We Are
Juxtah (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a mobile application that helps travelers discover, save, and organize locations. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We use this to authenticate you and identify your data.
Location Data
Juxtah collects your precise GPS location, including in the background when the app is not in use. We use this to:
- Show you saved and nearby locations relevant to where you are
- Send you push notifications when you are near a location you have saved
- Sort and display distances to your saved places
You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings. Background location is only used to power nearby alerts — we do not sell or share your location with third parties.
Saved Content
We store the locations, lists, and notes you create within the app on our servers. This data is associated with your account and is used to sync your content across devices and sessions.
Push Notification Token
We collect a device push token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) to send you notifications when you are near a saved location. This token is stored on our servers and tied to your account.
Purchase Information
If you subscribe to Juxtah Premium, purchases are processed through Apple App Store and managed by RevenueCat. We do not store your payment card details. RevenueCat may collect purchase history and subscription status — see RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy for details.
Usage Data
We may collect basic app usage information (such as errors and crashes) to improve the app. This data does not identify you personally.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
Third-Party Services
Juxtah uses the following third-party services that may process your data:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication support, push notifications, app security. Privacy Policy

- RevenueCat — subscription management. Privacy Policy
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your email, saved locations, lists, and notes are permanently deleted from our servers. Some anonymized data may be retained for up to 30 days in backups.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Delete your account and all associated data (via Settings → Account → Delete Account)
- Revoke location permission at any time via your device settings
- Opt out of push notifications via your device settings

Children
Juxtah is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
